Councilwoman Angela Benjamin: committed to the citizens of Ward 4!

                                           


Councilwoman Angela Benjamin

Councilwoman Benjamin was born and raised in historic Selma, Alabama. She grew up in East Selma in an area also known as “Smokey City”, and has lived and raised her children on the north side of Ward 4. Angela is a longtime community activist and is a member of Christian Grace Apostolic Church.

Councilwoman Benjamin is an alumna of Selma High School, Wallace Community College and Alabama State University.  She also holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Alabama. Currently, Angela is employed with the Coca Cola First Generation Scholarship Program at the University of Alabama.


Councilwoman Benjamin was elected to the Selma City Council in October 2008.  She took office in November 2008, and her term of service is from 2008 to 2012.
